Isivana Vipassana Hermitage (IVH) �is overjoyed to announce that this is the 1st time Malaysia will be officially represented in the International platform where Theravada Buddhism is concern, at Bodh Gaya; the auspicious place for Buddhists around the world.
IVH will be representing Malaysia with Venerable Paramacari, spiritual advisor and abbess of IVH, leading a group of 12 lay devotees during the procession at the opening ceremony of the 10th International Tipitaka Chanting on 2nd Dec 2014. The devotees will be flying the Malaysian flag and donning mix Malaysian traditional costumes to reflect the rich cultural heritage and diverse ethnicity of the country and its people. We hereby invites all Malaysian Buddhists locally and abroad to rejoice with us in your hearts wherever you are now.
We are also pleased to inform that devotees and friends had responded overwhelmingly to our call to sponsor one full day meal Dana for the 3,000 Sangha at the event and together have collected USD9,000 for this cause, including for the floral arrangements. It is an auspicious day indeed for all of us to share this good news with all fellow Malaysian Buddhists.
To all friends and devotees, we wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for all your support, trust and cooperation rendered us in this cause. May the merits accrued from this noble deed yield immense support to your endeavour to the total destruction of all defilements and realization of Nibbana at the earliest possible opportunity.
