We've gone virtual!

We're pretty lucky to have our Studio Shop in Warwick - not only is it a town full of brilliant independent shops and amazing people who make great events happen, but it's also a forward thinking town happy to embrace new ideas and technologies to promote and boost the town itself.

Lots of shops in Warwick have done a google 360 virtual tour, including us!

We used locally based Striking Exposures who spent a morning with us photographing our newly stocked Studio Shop.

Reodica v CA

FACTS:

1.) Isabelita Reodica was charged with Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Property with Slight Physical Injury after hitting Bonsol while driving in a van. Three days after the accident a complaint was filed before thefiscal's office against the petitioner.

2.) TC: pleaded not guilty, still ensued. RTC: guilty. CA: re-affirmed.

3.) In its motionfor reconsideration, petitioner now assails that the court erred in giving its penalty on complex damage to property and slight physical injuries both being light offenses over which the RTC has nojurisdictionon ground of prescription or lack of jurisdiction.

ISSUE: Whether the quasi offenses already prescribed.

Filing of a complaint in the fiscal?s office involving a felony under the RPC is sufficient to interrupt the running of prescription. But filing acomplaint under the fiscal's office involving offenses punished by a speciallaw (i.e. ordinance) does not interrupt the running of prescription. Act 3326 is the governing law on prescriptions of crimes punishable by a special law which states that prescription is only interrupted upon judicial proceeding.

WHAT IS SIRAT?

Assalamualaikum and hello. I think most of you are waiting for me explain more about Iban?s traditional clothing. So today I will start with male clothing. As we can see on the Figure 1,long ago the man was wear a loincloth and from that we can know that the loincloth is a garment of great antiquity of the original men?s clothing in Iban community. They called the loincloth as sirat. They think that sirat is an immodest garment which used to cover the men genitals. Sirat is made by a strip of material about 10 inches wide and 10 to 12 feet long. The picture figure 2 show how to wear a sirat.
