As ever, it was extremely difficult to choose between the applications that we received. We are given a finite number of slots by Google, and we don't want our mentors stretched too thin mentoring multiple projects each, so there were many excellent applications that we were sadly unable to accept. We welcome all students who were not accepted to remain in our community, and wish them luck for next year.

We're now in the community bonding period - students will be getting to know their mentors, and getting up to speed. You'll be able to follow our students' progress on ourSummer of Code 2013 mailing listandonTwitterandGoogle+.

Happy coding!

Everything's there in the mind

Mind is a complex structure of cells and a web of interlinks between our conscious and subconscious minds. It basically is the simplest form of networking that can be seen in the minutest of forms. The networking is between the various experiences that we had and a connection of it with the present situation we are in. Everything is created by our mind. Even the situation we are in, it's because we attract it or in other sense we want it. It's our desire to acquire it. If anything is away from us it means that the attractive energy is missing. It's very simple, the opposite poles of a magnet always do attract each other because the attraction is there from both the ends. If one pole changes its state, it repels not attracts. Mind is a big manipulator. It tries to manipulate what so ever it doesn't likes. It tries to put everything in your favor. If the mind focusses on any sort of object or work. It is supposed to excel. It has such power that it makes every impossible possible, only if the mind reduces its manipulative strengths. A mind has such powers that it can achieve the impossible or any distant dream. Only one thing is required that is the control over the networking abilities of the mind, to switch over from the conscious to the subconscious mind with ease. That is so because, the manipulative capabilities rises from the subconscious state to cover the inabilities of the conscious state of mind. That's why it is so essential to treat our mind in sync with the surroundings and more importantly with the heart. There needs to be a perfect balance between these, which brings an equilibrium in the soul to take the rite way ahead.

Interviews Shiva Sankar Saha Hira

The key stakeholders in the crisis Nepal is currently in?the government, political leaders, agitating Madhesi parties and neighbouring India?are ruthlessly playing with the lives of the common people and the future of the country. The long anticipated and extensively delayed prime minister?s address to the nation on November 15 evoked feelings of nationalism and hopes for only those living in the comfort of power and not having to worry about their livelihood despite the alarming situation that prevails in the country. The speech did little to calm the nerves of the common people who are nearing their breaking point. It was meaningless for those people who were brutally baton-charged by the police and dispersed after they had waited for four consecutive days in front of cooking gas outlets in the hope of buying half a cylinder of the fuel; or the 85-year-old man who was unable to buy the firewood that the government was distributing just because he failed to produce his citizenship papers; or the son who lost his father to a heart attack as he was rushing through the streets and hospitals in search of medicines which are rapidly disappearing from the market due to the Indian embargo. And yet, neither the government nor the protesting parties have shown any urgency to solve the deadlock and end negotiations ?without even entering into the agenda?, as one of the members of the dialogue committee commented recently.

introduction of invertebrate animals

The animals with out backbones are called invertebrate animals. There are more than one million species of animals present on the earth, among them 95% are invertebrate animals. Altogether there are 30 phylum of invertebrate animals according to the starting classification of animals but on the basis of their number of species and their ecological importance they have now been said to be only nine types of phylum.

Using PyLibTiff to read tiff files in Python

ImageJ can open and save .tiff image stacks with ease. Additionally, to use BrainAligner to register image stacks, it is useful to have the image stacks saved as .tiff files. (I'll post about BrainAligner soon.) Various Python libraries exist that can open .tiff files, but some of them cannot handle image stacks (3d arrays of pixels). I've started to use PyLibTiff to handle this file type in my Python scripts. In order to install it, just run

sudo apt-get install python-libtiff

at a terminal.

Update: This does not appear to work in Ubuntu 14.04. It results in installation of version 0.3.0, which I believe has been replaces by 0.4.0. You can download the newest version at https://pypi.python.org/pypi/libtiff/ then unpack it, cd to the directory, and run

sudo python setup.py install

For some reason you will need to move out of the downloaded directory in order to actually test it, though. Open a python interactive prompt and make sure that you can import it: from libtiff import TIFF
Below is a snippet of some code that I've been using to open a 2-channel (2-color) image stack and arrange the dimensions in a way that I find intuitive (x,y,z,color).

Pendahuluan dari Penulis E-Book 10 Dosa Besar

Pendahuluan dari Kami

Assalamu?alaikum Wr. Wb.

Astaghfirullaahal?adzhiim alladzi laa ilaaha illa huwal hayyul qoyyum wa atuubu ilaih taubatan nasuuha. Taubata ?abdin zhoolimin laa yamliku linafsih dhorron wala naf?aa wala mautan wala hayatan wala nusyuuro.

Wallahu a?lam bish-showwab.
Wassalamu?alaikum Wr. Wb.
