As part of the project ?Power of Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue?, the ECYON is organizing an international photo competition for young people (preferably aged between 18 and 30) from Albania, Armenia, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Romania, Turkey and Ukraine.
Deadline for applications:20 February 2016
Award
Winners of the competition will be invited to participate in a 7-day international training course on ?Power of Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue? (PICIRD) which will be hosted by Youth Alliance via Networking (YAN) under the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission. The training course will take place in Yerevan, Armenia between 11 and 19 June 2016. All costs (international travel, accommodation and food) will be covered by the host organization. Click here for project description.
Eligibility
Applications are open to young people from Albania, Armenia, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine. Since the prize will be participation in an international training course (working language English), applicants are required to have a good knowledge of English and be motivated to learn about and take action on the topic of intercultural and interreligious dialogue.
How to apply
Send your photo illustrating the topic of intercultural and interreligious dialogue to projects@ecyon.org. In the subject line of your e-mail, write ?Photo Competition ? [Your Country] ? [Your Name and Surname]?. In the body of the e-mail, provide a brief explanation of the idea behind your photo (maximum 80 words). Also briefly explain ?why you want to participate in this training course? (maximum 100 words). Only one photo may be sent by each contestant.
The selection process
There will be one winner from each country (Albania, Armenia, Croatia, Germany, Greece, Romania, Turkey, and Ukraine). The winners will be selected through two steps:
1. The photos (with their explanations) will be uploaded by us on ECYON?s Facebook page in the album ?PICIRD Photo Competition?. The number of ?likes? received by each photo will make up 50% of the total score.
2. A selection committee composed of one representative from each project partner will score the photos. Then the scores will be averaged for each photo.
The winners will be decided according to the total scores of the photos. The photo with the highest score from each country will be the winner from that country.
You can direct any questions you have to projects@ecyon.org.
Don?t forget! The deadline for submission of the applications is 20 February!
The project team wishes you every success.
In peace!
